Party Tonight!

Everything is ready for the party tonight! The party is sold out and today all the final preparations are being put in place.

I was onsite yesterday and watched the stage being assembled, the crew setting up and a ton of preparations being made. There are definitely a few things to keep in mind, some of which were in yesterday’s email to all attendees. It is worth highlighting a few things.

The backyard is a little bit different than in the past so there will be three different vibes to choose from, a “club” concert experience in and around the pool, a great band and party experience in the upper level standing and watching the concert and big screen and what is sure to be a blast of a social party scene around the side of the house. Each will be a different, and fun, experience (then again, as Joey Fairbloom likes to remind me, at a great party there is a different party every five feet!). I would note that if you want to sit in or around the pool you better be there early!

This morning the weather is crisp and clear. Tonight will be 18c/64f so dress accordingly! Heels are a terrible idea and sandals are probably not that wise either. If you are going to be in pool make sure you have a change of clothes. Something a little warmer as the evening progresses is not a bad idea, but there will be a fair bit of body heat from the crowd and the energy. And while the bars will be well stocked, do remember it is BYOB. There will be lots of food!

Burton Cummings is excited too! Here are a couple of his recent tweets:

# BRIDLE BASH, TORONTO, AUGUST 7, 1 NITE B4 MC CARTNEY.MIGHT LEARN “ALLEY OOP” WITH NICK S. FOR THAT ONE. LIKE TO DO “SLOW DOWN” TOO A LA JOHN

# BRIDLE BASH AGAIN THIS YEAR FOR THE FROGS AND YOURS TRULY. ONE OF THE GREAT TORONTO PARTIES OF THE ENTIRE YEAR. GOTTA LEARN “LOUIE LOUIE”…

Last time he did a raucous version of “Louie Louie” and called it the greatest party song of all time. “Slow Down” would be a GREAT choice if he plays it.

So plan your attire, your travel and your scene. Come and have a great time. I know I will!
