On August 3rd, 2013 a truly magical day and night occurred. Underneath the backdrop of a picture perfect summer day, guests partied poolside like Rock Stars. One of the top DJ’s in the World Steve Aoki surprised the Day Party crowd and whipped them to a frenzy with his EDM set.
As the beautiful canopy of blue sky turned into a starry night, The Tragically Hip took to the stage and rocked the crowd with their unique and inimitable music. The crowd of 1000 went wild as the Hip played new and old hits, drawing from a catalogue spanning more than a quarter-century! Wherever you stood, shook, splashed or danced you could feel the magic working through the fervor of the crowd – an epic night was had by all!
Thanks to countless volunteer hours, ticket sales, donations, sponsorships and a whole lot of dedication, the biggest, most dramatic impact of the night was the $950,000 that was raised for The Bridle Bash Foundation. The key recipients of net proceeds of Bridle Bash V:
Red Door Family Shelter: Our donation will be directed towards the operation of their Food Bank – a crucial service offered to ex-residents of the shelter as they make the critical transition into stable and permanent independence.
Mount Sinai Hospital: The Bridle Bash Foundation will be providing funding to a ground breaking Breast Cancer Research Project.
The Bridle Bash Foundation is made up entirely of volunteers who manage its day-to-day administration; there are no salaried positions, no overhead, and all legal and accounting services are provided at no cost.
Your commitment has been instrumental to The Bridle Bash Foundation as we continue to grow and cultivate upon our mission to provide financial support to registered Canadian charities that focus on health research, treatment and support for adults and children.
Thanks to your good will and generosity Bridle Bash V will live on forever in our memories …“That Night in Toronto!“
